Other Products ｜Heavenly Sweetness: Ethiopiques Vol.2 Vinyl 6x7" Boxset

Round Two! Crucial collection of rare Ethio-jazz cuts following up the in-demand first volume released on Record Store Day 2017. This is a truly stunning collection of treasures from the 60's/70's Ethiopian music scene (featured in the iconic Ethiopiques series) that would cost a small fortune if one were to seek out the impossibly rare originals. Ethiopiques freaqs will note that this set is compiled in tribute to Ali Tango who produced most of these tracks. Includes gems from Ethio-jazz titans Mahmoud Ahmed, Alemayéhu Eshété and Ali Mohamed Birra plus lesser known but unmissable sides by Muluquen Meléssé, Alayew Mesfin and Seyoum Gebreyes, original pressings of which would set you back a small fortune easily. Each artist shines on their own 45 with faithfully-reproduced original pic sleeve. Housed in a custom outer box with foldout poster and six stickers sporting art from each of the individual covers. Limited edition of 2000, recommended.
